Wisconsin Dells has so much more to offer then just water parks. We had a visitors guide and when I saw the deer park listed I knew it was something I wanted to check out. The park consists of 40 acres of land which houses different varieties of deer. The park has been operating for over 50 years. The deer are free to roam the grounds and they are tame. I have never seen a place quite like this. Being able to feed a deer out of my hands was a very special experience for me.
The admission for adults is $14.00. You can also purchase a cup of food that consists of dry corn and pellets. The deer will come right up to you and eat out of your hands. The cups of food are $2.00 each and I recommend buying a cup for each person. There are stations where you can purchase a handful of food for a quarter as well, but you get more for your money if you purchase a cup.
You can bring a camera and take as many picture as you like. In addition to deer there are goats, peacocks, piglets, rabbits, lemurs, and many other animals. I always get a little nervous when feeding an animal that size, but once I overcame my fear I loved having all the deer come up to me. They are such incredible creatures. I hope you guys check this place out if you are visiting the area. Thank you for reading.
