Moosejaw is a restaurant which specializes in pizzas and beer. They actually have a brewery on site so they offer 10 different types of beers. If you are looking for non-alcoholic beverages, they do offer four different types of sodas which they make themselves as well. You can’t miss this place when you’re driving by, because you will see their iconic red delivery cars with a moose lying on the roof of the car. The restaurant looks like a giant log cabin. It had a very cozy feeling to it, and I loved the rustic decor.
My gluten-free diet went out of the window that day. They do have gluten-free options, but they are known for their pizza so I caved and decided to have a cheat day. I have to say the pizza was so delicious. For dessert we had the Sasquatch funnel cake. It was pretty much a funnel cake in the size of a giant foot, topped with ice cream, whipped cream, powdered sugar, caramel, and chocolate. It was so unhealthy but so amazing. Why does all the unhealthy stuff always have to taste so good?
While we were finishing up in the restaurant, it started to downpour outside. This put a hold on the plans to go to the water park, fortunately there are indoor activities you can do in the Dells. One of those is the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum. The museum appears to be pretty small from the outside, but once you get inside you realize that it consists of three different floors. There were hundreds of different artifacts such as real shrunken human heads. I think this museum is appropriate for teens and adults. I saw several smaller children and I think some of the exhibits are not kid friendly. Admission is $14.99 for adults. When we were done touring the museum, we went outside and the sun was out and there was no sign of there ever having been a storm.
