Unicorn Dreams

It’s no secret that Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love getting dressed up and being able to be someone or something else for one night. The hardest part is deciding what to be for Halloween. I scoured the internet searching for ideas, primarily on Pinterest. One thing I always wanted to dress up as is a unicorn, so I decided to go for it. I usually purchase my costume, but I decided to save some money this year and use things I already had in my closet. I wore my favorite white jeans and a strapless white sweetheart neckline top. I paired my outfit with my nude knee-high boots. I found a gorgeous unicorn horn on Etsy. They have multiple sizes and colors to choose from. I was amazed at the quality of the horn. I ordered the 5 inch white horn with the bronze chain. It has an adjustable elastic closure and these gorgeous chain adornments. I will post the link for the horn below. I wore my hair up in a high ponytail,  and that completed that portion of the look.

For my makeup I purchased the NYX Face and Body Glitter in Gold, along with their glitter primer. I placed the primer around my eyes and dabbed the glitter on. I also sprinkled some glitter in my hair and chest for some extra sparkle. I purchased some gems from Michael’s and I used eyelash glue to apply those. I applied the glue directly to the back of the gem before placing them on my face, and they stayed on all night. I also wanted a shimmery lipstick, and I found the perfect one from Urban Decay called Trick. The last makeup product I purchased was also from Urban Decay and it’s an eyeshadow called Half Baked. This eyeshadow is a gorgeous golden bronze shimmer.

Two of my friends and I ended up going to Madison for Halloween. It was bone-chillingly cold out that night! I was freezing outside and the minute we would get inside I was sweating. We ended up at the Red Rock Saloon for the night since the place we wanted to go to was at maximum capacity. It was so fun seeing what everyone else was dresses up as and how creative some of the costumes were. We definitely had a fun night out, but my feet were on fire the next day. That is what I get for trying to look cute in heels! I hope you guys enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading.
