I don’t know what it is about art murals, but I love searching for them. They just make the best backdrops for photos. St. Petersburg has some of the most beautiful, cool, and unique ones that I have seen to date. I found a site that has the exact address of many of the murals. I will have a direct link posted below. I really wanted to see the “You are my Sunshine” mural, so we parked close by and started walking and exploring. Most of the murals are in an alleyway or behind buildings. Don’t let this discourage you from going, the area is very safe. I think the best way to get started is to just pick the address of one mural like we did, and then go from there. We spent about two hours doing this, but in all honesty with the amount of murals you could make this an all day thing if you wanted to. There were tons of really cute shops and places to eat along the way as well.
It was really hot out so we stopped at a popsicle shop called The Hyppo. They sell gourmet ice pops that are all natural. They had so many flavors to choose from that it took me a good fifteen minutes to make up my mind. I can be so indecisive sometimes. I ended up purchasing the strawberry lemonade and it was amazing! They had a ton of dairy free options which was great. I highly recommend a stop at this popsicle shop if you guys are visiting the city. I think my favorite mural was the shark one. They have this small cage you can get into so it looks like you are cage diving with the shark. That is as close to shark diving as I will ever get! I hope you guys have enjoyed this short and sweet blog post. Thanks for reading and have a great weekend.
